Summer Camp

The snow is melting and there is a hint that spring is around the corner.

This can only mean that its time for everyone to start thinking about summer camp.  This year we are going to a Troop 617 favorite, Camp Ottari, in the Virginia mountains during the week of July 17-23.

I would like to invite parents to a meeting about Ottari at the same time as the regularly scheduled troop meeting on February 24 at 7:30.  I will go over our plans and provide information that will help you and your Scout begin preparations.

I am extending this invitation to all Webelos II families who are considering bridging to 617 and ask all our pack contacts to pass this information to your dens.  In addition to being an action-packed week of fun, summer camp is a wonderful way for your Scout to meet many of his rank requirements in a very short period of time.

I will present to the Scouts at a separate time as February meetings are packed with activities.  A show of hands at the last two meetings indicated that we are going to have the enthusiastic participation from Scouts who were at Heritage last summer.
