Meeting Notes

A few notes from last night's Troop meeting.

1. This Saturday is Tom Heinrichs' Eagle Court of Honor.  All are invited.  Scouts participating in the ceremony should arrive at 3:00 in their best Class A uniform (socks, belt, neckerchief, slide, merit badge sash, etc.)  Everyone else is invited for the 4:00 program.

2. Summer camp deadline is 3/31.  By early morning on 4/1 Mr. Short must confirm the exact number of Scouts and Scouters (yes parents you are welcome to come to camp with us).  So what does that mean?  If you commit by 3/31, you are paying.  I hope you are going, but I know you are paying.  If you do not commit by 3/31, all other spots will be forfeited and there is no guarantee that you can decide later to go.  Deposit is $150.

3. Mulch selling.  Final turn in day is next Thursday 3/24.  Go make some more sales.

4. Mulch delivery.  April 1 afternoon and all day April 2 (until it is gone).

5. Anthony Di Meo has announced his Eagle project will be conducted on April 9-10.

6. Junior Leader Training for Scouts in leadership positions for the April-September time frame will be led by Mr. Bernstein on the Friday evening April 8.

7. Any Scout interested in Leadership positions for the next 6 month term should A) Read over the leadership position on the Troop web site (Leadership Forms link) and B) speak with Mr. Levy about their interest in a position.

I hope to see all of you this Saturday.  An Eagle Court of Honor is the most prestigious milestone in Scouting.  Come out and help Tom Heinrichs and his family celebrate this momentous event.

Yours in Scouting,
Larry Levy

Summer Camp reminder

posted Feb 23, 2011 10:55 AM by Kent Riggins   [ updated Feb 23, 2011 10:56 AM ]

I wanted to remind all adults that we will be having a meeting about the Troop's  July 17-23 return to Camp Ottari at tomorrow night's regular meeting (7:30 pm).

Those of you with a long relationship to the Troop know that Ottari offers considerably more activities for adult leaders than do other summer camps.   If you haven't gone to a summer camp with the Troop in some time, I would like to invite you to come out tomorrow night and consider whether Camp Ottari might be calling your name this year.

Yours In Scouting

Paul
