  • Solomons Island permission slip All, Yes it is that time of year again.  As per tradition, we are camping at Solomon's Island Naval Recreation over the Memorial Day weekend (May 23-25).  On Saturday, May 23rd scout families are welcome to come and spend the day and enjoy the fun activities at Solomon's and dinner for ($10 per person) or just join us for dinner ($5 per person). Permission slips are due 5/14 so I can provide a list to the Recreation Center as per the requirement.The permission slip is here. Hope to see you there ! Paul Pellegrino

  • Get T-Shirts after the Court of Honor on Thursday All, After COH ceremony we will have our new dri-fit  Class B t-shirts on sale for $10 a piece.  This is an excellent value, because the troop is subsidizing some of the cost of the shirts.  So bring a few bucks to get an extra class B.  New scout that have joined the troop in the last few months are eligible to received a free T-shirt as well. Here's a picture of the front and back design.  This design was a team effort of a scout,several scouters and a Classb.com graphic artist. Mr P

  • OA Elections Coming April 16th All: Troop 617 will have an Order of the Arrow Election on April 16.  If a Scout wishes to be on the ballot for the OA election they must meet the following criteria: 1. Be a registered First Class or higher Scout.2. Have camped 15 or more nights in the last two years.  Those nights must include one long term camp, such as summer camp, but may only count one such camp towards the 15 nights.3. Create a list of those 15 nights and give them to the Scoutmaster, Mr. Levy.4.
